It pains me that my adopted hometown hockey team is the team that rid the world of the best logo in all of sport–the FedEx logo of sport if you will–the Hartford Whalers logo by Peter Good. Until the Canes get a new logo I propose they simply lease the Portland Trailblazers logo. Spinning, hurricane-esque, and goes well with the new jersey stripes. Thanks Portland.
Following the release of our colleagues at Fuzzco's awesome Path of Totality tote for the solar eclipse of 2017, I felt compelled to design a tote for Raleigh, which is just outside the sweet spot. It's okay, really. We're fine.
Raleigh could really use a good ramen place and I can see it in my head. Western Man Ramen — the "western man" who has no idea how to make truly good ramen, but with a fascination and appreciation of Japanese fascination with western culture. Maybe one day I'll have the balls to partner up and open this place.
I'm no architect but I am pretty sure this isn't actually architecture anyhow. Sticks, stucco, bricks, beige. We know how this story ends. Hopefully no one gets hurt.
I'm a space shuttle era baby. I grew up with and love the 'worm' logo that graced the wing of Challenger. As NASA moves into a new era, retiring the shuttles, and relying more on private space travel, it felt right to consider a new logo. My proposed mark references three things: 1. piercing the atmosphere, leaving Earth 2. looking down on the black tip of the shuttle, an homage 3. a dynamic shape imagining what winged flight may look like in the future
An ode to Western Blvd. and a concept for two friends — coin laundry, car wash, check cashing, social club. Critter N' Miles Western BLVD Scrub-A-Dub.
